It will definitely makes your skin softer after use; it also removes make up easily. i consume all the samples but i didn't notice that my face brightens.

I love how it effectively does its job in removing my makeup and how I could easily rinse it off by just using water. No need to use any other product to clean my face. I also like that it doesn't make my face feels sticky like the other cleansing oil I've tried. I would definitely buy a full size of this product. :)

It leaves a greasy feel after applying it, it doesn't absorb much through the skin. The consistency is so fluidly that it runs almost everywhere using the sachet samples.

i like that it makes my skin soft and supple after use, though i wont be buying the big bottle because im not a heavy make up user and that big bottle will just sit in my dresser for a long time, nice product though, thanks!

I'm not a fan of cleansing oils but because it's Shu, I'm sure it will work. I find this cleansing oil a bit sticky on my face and didn't noticed brightening effect. It can remove waterproof makeup and that's it.

The texture and consistency is ok but its a little bit oily, i like the smell, because it has a good smell.. It is also effective but there are times that after washing it there is still a little trace of make up left... Over all, i like the product with a score of 4/5..

Honestly, I think I expected too much from this product. It may be because I don't wear heavy make up daily, that I feel I do not need to use this everyday. I only got the chance to use my samples when I went to Christmas Parties over the holiday. With the cleansing oil, I could easily wipe hard to remove make up like mascara and eyeliner in sweeping motions with a cotton. It does not hurt that it also has a very nice scent. I was also trying to look for instructions for usage because I'm not a regular user of oil based make up removers but there was none on the sample. My experience was not enough for me to say that it can whiten or that my complexion has brightened after the usage.

This cleansing oil is one of those oldies but goodies but never gets old. It works really well on tough to remove makeup such waterproof eye makeup i.e. eye liners and mascaras. It also works very well in removing long wearing makeup such as lasting or long wearing foundations and lipsticks. This product did not cause any untoward reactions on my skin and did not react with the cosmetics on my face harshly except to remove it smoothly from my face. I am not able to tell though, if this any brightening effect on my skin as I use a lot of other different products that have brightening promises and said products stay far longer on my skin than this cleanser. If budget allows this product is an item you just go back to over and over, time and again, for decades.

I've been forever looking for a chance to try the newer lines of Shu Uemura Cleansing Oils, had a chance to get a few sample bottles of the original yellow one when Shu Uemura started a long time ago. That's when I was in high school and my idea of skin care is washing my face with neutrogena soap. On to the review, the 3 sachets that I decanted into a container has lasted me more than 3 weeks, I only used a few drops at a time for my whole face. I love how I really feel that oil coats the whole face to cleanse it and how soft and supple my skin feels after drying. I can't feel the bumps of dry skin patches and the oiliness on my face during the day lessened. Will definitely buy a full size soon :)

I've been using Shu Uemura Whitefficient Cleansing Oil for 5 days now and I have to say that it really does deliver as they claim it would. I was a bit hesitant in using it on day 1 because I am not used to using oil-based cleanser but I got curious with all the hype about this product so I Googled on how to use this as there is no instruction written at the back of the samples. The first thing I observed was it made my skin noticeably soft. I had breakouts before I used this product, maybe because of my pregnancy-related hormones but when I started using this, my acne scars and dark spots slowly cleared away. I would really like to buy this product because it is really effective on my skin but because of the luxe price, I still have to save some money or look for another product that delivers the same effect but at a cheaper price.

I'm not really used to oil based make-up removers (due to my sometimes oily skin) but trying this product works for me. Since samples are in sachets, i have to transfer product to a small container so as application wouldn't seem messy. This remover didn't gave me a hard time taking out all my make-up residues since i only have to massage it to my face for a few minutes then wash with water after. I also noticed that my face looks brighter after using this. I'm happy to have the chance to try this product and i might buy the full size once i have the budget for this.

I used this for removing eye makeup. I don't wear foundation on a daily basis. Anyway, it does a good job in removing eyeshadow and eyeliner. You should let it sit a while to dissolve the makeup so you can wipe them off in one go. It's a different case with mascara, I use Majolica Lash King and it will take 2 rounds before I can completely remove it. Still that's good enough. I love using oil as makeup remover, the downside with that is that it's difficult to rinse off. It's a good thing this emulsifies. If you also love using oil as a makeup remover, you'll love this.

i've long wondered what the hype about shu's cleansing oil is. but now that i've tried it, i'm definitely convinced to save up for it! this variant has a pleasant smell, and it leaves my skin soft and silky to the touch. its cleansing power for me is great, although i usually only wear bb cream. as for its brightening effect, although a few uses will not yet yield dramatic effects, i have high hopes for this product!

I've always read about how great Shu Uemura's cleansing oils are and I felt good having the opportunity to try it out without having to buy the expensive bottle. However, the experience was "just okay". Anyways, my first trial went wrong as I wasn't sure of how to use it regardless of reading reviews about it so I got raccoon eyes and somewhat oily skin. I googled the how-to and tried it again after and I got better results. My skin was cleansed and soft, as if I put moisturizer on after washing my face. It felt a little bit oily but I think that's the point of the product; to remove impurities while sinking into the skin. Claims-wise, I didn't see anything that was 'whitefficient' or 'brightening' but it was clean and gentle. Maybe it comes with using the product continuously. I'm recommending this to those who really like how it feels on the skin and are willing to save up/shelf out for it or those who can simply afford it. I'm using something else (Saizen's Charcoal Foam Cleanser) that works just fine so I'm not purchasing the actual product unless I have extra cash.

I usually use Kojic soap for my cleansing due to it's whitening properties. As soon as sample room opened I availed of this sample as I have heard a lot about this particular brand. The cleansing oil removes makeup flawlessly. Even my Majolica Majorca Lash Frame Expander mascara (which is a bitch to remove) was no match for his cleanser. Despite being oil-based, it does not leave an uncomfortable cloudy mist over the eye after application, and is easily rinsed off with water. The downside is that I didn't really notice any whitening/lightening/brightening properties. Perhaps it's because my skin was regularly well-exfoliated due to my lightening routine prior to using the product. I do the double cleanse method, and I think that it's more effective as a makeup remover than an actual cleanser. I will probably purchase this in full but I am also interested in checking out other Shu Uemura cleansing oil variants.

I've been using this for the past 3 days now and I must say, the effects are really nice on my skin. Who would've thought that oil can remove makeup as well as my toner and make up remover? I guess being a toner kind of person, I just felt that my skin is not clean enough because I miss the slight tinging sensation on my skin since this is oil. However, looking at my cotton balls, a lot of my make up has been removed so it's really effective. What's stopping me from buying this product is the super steep price but over-all, the product is really good. I just don't like the oily texture it left on my face but it did make my skin softer.

I was encouraged by my wife to try this product since I have a dull skin complexion. Obviously, I do not wear make up but I do commute everyday leaving my skin exposed to dirt and pollution. The product is so gentle to my skin and I haven't broken out because of it. It is an amazing cleanser, even though I don't feel the brightening effect quite enough. It's still a good product and I hope to repurchase once I ran out of it.

this is my HG oil cleanser!i love the smell and its very light (not greasy!) my face feels clean and super smooth after using it! i stopped using my moisturiser and toner (bad girl!) when i used the cleanser to know if it really works. it does! my face did not get dry, is more radiant and my dark spots seem to lighten. been using the samples for a week but i still have 4 packs left!!! its a bit pricey (esp to us mothers who have tight budgets) so i will buy the smaller bottle. thanks sample room.
